Gabriella's Frist Day of Kindergarten

NOTE: Was ment to be posted Thursday 8/11/2011, but technologly kept me from posting until today.






Today was going to come whether I liked it or not. Our first born, 4yrs, 11 months and 354 days old, went to Kindergarten. Sniff, sniff! Gabriella was ready to go and had a confidence about her that I have not seen. I know she is in a great place with an excellent teacher and an added bonus of friends she already knew from the neighborhood, preschool & meeting this summer.

Please God, don't let her grow up too fast!

Pajama Day & Last Day of Preschhol for Gabriella

Gabriella rocked her Rapunzel night shirt today. The class had a pajama day to end the school year and it seems Gabriella has a wonderful last day of school.

 

I am excited for this summer! Lots of traveling & activities planned for our family. 

 

 

Brayden's Last Day of 1Yr Preschool

Today was Brayden's last day of his FIRST Year of Preschool. SO happy I have 3 more years at FPC. I love it there for my children so much. It is sad that he is leaving two FANTASTIC teachers. They have been so loving and caring for our little babies, I mean little people, no longer babies. Truly genuine and kind ladies. I am excited for this summer and what next year brings for Brayden. He has learned so much by being in his little class. 

 

 

Gabriella's End of the Year and End of Preschool

Tomorrow is Gabriella's last day of Preschool. We close one chapter in her life and it will soon open a whole new one. I have been emotional all day. I am excited for the new adventure that lays ahead but I am not quite ready. Probably by the end of summer I will change my tune. She is leaving some of the BEST and most AMAZING teachers. The whole value and idea of preschool is so safe and loving. I am not ready for it to end. At least I have a few more years to share and enjoy with Brayden. I cannot believe how time has flown by in front of my eyes. Sniff, Sniff!

Abstract Artist

Gabriella enjoyed an art lesson yesterday on Kandinsky at the E Cobb Park. She also got to be a little abstract herself on canvas. I love it!

Daddy Daughter Dance

For a Valentine's treat, Brian and Gabriella enoyed their afternoon on Sunday at her ballet schools's annual Daddy Daughter Dance. This is an event that is very special to Gabriella and I am so glad Brian goes with the flow and takes her. It means so much to me and Gabriella to have Brian show her how a man should treat a lady.

Our "Big Boy" 2 year check went great! Brayden weighs 31 lbs, 80% and is 36 1/2 in. tall, 95%.

Mini Cupcakes for Brayden

> I just finished baking mini cupcakes for Brayden. He gets to celebrate his birthday in his One's class tomorrow at preschool with his friends. I cannot believe our little man is turning 2!

Colorado, January 2011

I have almost given up on this blog. It is hard to find the time to sit and update, especially without a laptop. But I am going to give it a try.

We just returned from a trip to Breckenridge, CO. It was a great trip. Got to spend some quality time with the kids and family. I enjoyed visiting with Lindsay & Jeff. I know Gabriella and Brayden enjoyed playing with their Auntie Lou & Uncle.

There were some great powder days on the mountain and great groomed days. I was good about taking pictures of each firsts of the kids. For example Brayden's first time on skis, his first sled ride, Gabriella's first day at ski school, her first ride on a chair lift, etc. I get home and all of the pictures had been deleted from the camera. Bummed, bummed, ?@*%?!! On the positive side I was able to catch a couple of shots with my phone but that is it.

Gabriella, once dressed, enjoyed skiing for the morning. It was a lot of work for her little legs, but she did AWESOME! Once we got her out of ski school she took to flying down a hill true Morris Style. Hopefully next year she can take a refresher course for a day and then head out the rest of the week with us. We just have to move past the getting dressed hysterics. Brayden loved the snow and begged to go outside each day to play. Poor kid was cooped up for most of the time, but enjoyed going out to dinner, riding the gondola, and visiting the Mountain Top Children's Museum.

As much fun as the trip was it was work. Totally worth it, because I got to escaped the mundane routines of daily life and have a little extra help. Now that I got my snow fix, I am ready for the beach!
