My Little Valentines

Brian and Gabriella are enjoying a special Valentine's Day date at her dance school. Brian accompanied Gabriella to the Daddy/Daughter Dance. She has been looking forward to this since her teacher, Ms. Irene sent the papers home.

Brayden, my Valentine's date has been sleeping most of the day. Sunday's he usually misses his morning nap due to church. I am looking forward to him giving up those morning naps. I feel I will have more time to get things done once he is only taking one a day.

Snow, Snow & more Snow

It was a great day Friday and Saturday with all of the snow in Georgia. It was a really big deal this time, b/c you could actually build a snowman. Gabriella, Brian and Brayden enjoyed being outside.

Saturday we made our way out on the VERY icy streets of Marietta to take Brayden over to Mimi & Poppy's house so that Gabriella, Brian and I could enjoy the circus. After 40 minutes to get to Mimi & Poppy's, which is usually a 8 minute drive we headed down to Phillips Arena. Parked in the parking deck, luckily we had a parking pass, and go to get our tickets scanned and "Excuse me sir, your tickets are for next Saturday!" Oops, our bad. Of course Gabriella starts crying "I want to go to the circus!" So we decided to walk around Centennial Olympic Park and hit the World of Coke. Later we treated ourselves to a super yummy lunch at Steak & Shake. So it ended up being a great day despite our errors of not checking the tickets.

Gabriella's Quote for the Day

When the cast of Mama Mia were on a commercial - "are those Michael
Jackson's friends?"

It's Party Time

We celebrated Brayden's 1st Birthday with a wonderful party at our home with fabulous family and friends. It means so much to us to have such amazing people in our lives.

12 Months Old

STATS

Height: 31 in long 80%
Weight: 24 lbs 11 oz 90%

In comparison to Gabriella at 12 months old she was the EXACT height and weight to the oz. Only difference is Gabriella was in the 93 % for height and 95% in weight.

Brayden had a great check-up on Tuesday for his 12 month appointment. His Prevacid medicine that is prescribed to him for his reflux has been upped from 1/2 a pill twice a day to a whole pill twice a day. I was hoping we were going to get him off of it. Oh well! Brayden hasn't taken his official first steps just yet. He is enjoying his push cart each day, and moving quickly. Hopefully soon he will be walking on his own.

I almost forgot what Gabriella looked like at a year old. They are so similar in appearances but so different as individuals.

Birthday Boy!

February 3, 2009, Brayden Young Morris was born into our world and made our family complete. This past year went by almost in the blink of an eye but I have to say this was one of the best years of my life.

Today we celebrated with our little family. The day was pretty normal with preschool, taking Grandma to the store and ballet, but I tried to make it special with some small touches. Saturday, is when we will really celebrate with family and friends.

Geezz Mommy, I just woke up! Easy w/the pictures!

I wish I was a great baker but I am not, but I do know where the good bakeries are around town, so I got some cupcakes from Cupcake Charm on the Marietta Square. I bought 6 different kinds, Strawberry, Moose Tracks, Devil's Food, Cookie Dough, White with sprinkles and Devil's Food with sprinkles. Mmmmm! A new tradition has been made in the Morris household for birthdays.

Gabriella can WRITE!

I am so proud of Gabriella, she can write her name all by herself. I don't even have to tell her what letter is next! Sorry, but I have to brag...Proud Mommy Here! This is the card she signed for Brayden's birthday.

Messing around with the camera

I was just playing around with camera on Sunday and thought these two pictures were cute of the kids.  I cannot believe Brayden will be one on Wednesday!

Yet another one!

Brian and I were talking that we want to watch Glee, Gabriella responded "they will be singing and prancing and dancing."
