This past weekend we headed down to Pine Mountain, GA to the Wild Animal Safari. We went with our family in crime...The Vo's. It was probably the hottest day of the year but it was great. We rented a Zebra Van and piled everyone in and drove around this Jurassic Park like ranch with different kinds of animals. I think Brian enjoyed it the most, he was our driver and I think he tried to feed every single animal he could. Gabriella was excited at first but when a giant crazy eyed cow came up to her in the window, she moved to the back with Thao & Olivia. I think Brayden and Brenden even ejoyed the trip.

I really enjoy going on day trips with my family and friends. I really look forward to when more of my firends have kids that we will be able to go in bigger groups.

The Sweetest Sound
Tonight while we were getting Brayden ready for bed, Brian was tickling him and he just started letting out the cutest laugh. He has been laughing for a while, but there were some real cackles that he hasn't done before. Make sure you turn your sound up, I apologize on the quality. Brian lost our video camera while snowboarding in Feb. so I had to use our digital camera.

Let's Go Fishin'
Last Friday my parent's took us to the Georgia Aquarium. It was mine and Brian's 2nd trip but everybody else 1st trip. What an amazing day! I really enjoyed watching Gabriella take in all of the sights and sounds. She had an amazing time, from what I observed, except for the Depot 3D movie. Oops, I guess an almost 3 year old wasn't ready for all the excitement. Brayden enjoyed the day too, looking at all the people, colors and snoozing in the stroller. My favorite part of the day was when we were at home, Gabriella told me "Mommy, I had a fun day with lots of fun stuff, thank you!" Best thing about that statement was I didn't even prompt her to say thank you. Oh, my little girl isn't a baby anymore.

Trying to Catch Up on our Summer Fun
It has been a few weeks since the last update. We have been to the beach, some free outdoor concerts, hanging out at the pool and first foods. Another great and successful trip to the beach for Memorial Day weekend. Successful meaning, no car sickness in the car. I have to give Gabriella Dramamine and have her wear motion sickness bracelets. Sometimes even around town she has to wear her bracelets so she doesn't get sick in the car. It is such an pain and an uncomfortable trip if that happens.
We were able to stop by and visit with Brian's Granny in Columbus. This was the first time Granny has had a chance to visit with her newest great-grandchild. It was a nice quick visit. Granny seemed to be having a good day, it took a minute but she recognized Brian and Gabriella, once she did it was a wonderful visit.
Also while we were at the beach I actually got some me time. I met up with Lindsay and some of her friends in Sandestin for a bachelorette party and then the next night Brian and I had a parent's night out and met some friends at the Red Bar in Grayton Beach.
Summer around here we have so many fun things to do and we have really tried to take full advantage. Marietta Square has concerts the last Friday of the month. This past concert was The Beatles Tribute band. They were at lot of fun. I mostly enjoyed hanging out as a family with some friends.
Brayden is 4 months old. We have his 4 month check up next week, so no stats except for his weight. He is a HEALTHY 17 lbs 5.5 oz. My sweet baby boy, who can't roll over yet b/c he is so big is already in 6-9 month clothing. We are off of the typical doctor schedule by two weeks b/c of his shot schedule and from when he was sick. He is only down to one medicine for his reflux. YAY!!!!! We did try rice cereal for the fist time last week. It is going slow but I am sure he will enjoy it shortly.
