Gabriella's Style

Again, my children seem to make us smile and appreciate the small joys of the day. Sunday, we were all ready for church with time to spare, rare but true. So of course I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to take a family picture. We set the camera up on the tripod outside and the birds that rest on our porch started to attack us, well almost. Brayden was more interested in chasing them instead of a perfect Kodak moment, so I had to settle on a picture of just the kids.

Yesterday we were getting ready to go have lunch with my Grandma and Gabriella came down stairs dressed ready to hit the town. All decked with her St. Patty's headband and her Ariel high heels. Then today, Gabriella decided when she got home from school to take off her skirt and sweater set and just left her tank and leggings on. Then she preceded to pose all around the house.

Jump Around

Saturday was a fabulous day despite the weather, stormy all day. We enjoyed the day at Jumpits for one of Gabriella's friend's birthday. We had a great time. Brayden really got into the whole bouncy house deal and also enjoyed playing with Danielle's sister Lauren. They kind of have a thing, every Wednesday at ballet waiting on their big sisters, Lauren, age 2, chases Brayden, age 1. Brayden takes it and really likes the attention from her. They tease each other and have a love-tough love relationship.

Silly Faces of the Morris Children

My children make me laugh daily. I think they get their goofy facial expression from (unfortunately) me. Here are just a few for example.

Friday Night Concert Series @ the Square

Friday night kicked off the start of the Friday Night Concert Series at the Marietta Square. It is definitely a family favorite. It was great, the first band was a swing/big band type band. The evening included the 4 of us, my mom & dad, Brian's mom & dad, my grandma and some friends. It is always great to spend time with everyone and of course the extra hands with the kids is always appreciated. We look forward to the future concert nights. If you are able to make it or in the area we would love for you to join us. We usually set up a table and chairs just in front of North Park Bistro, formally Three Bears Cafe, just right of the Strand.

Putting things into Perspective

Thanks Lauren for sharing this family's touching story on your blog. I followed the Dominy Family since day 10 of this precious boy's life. I do not know this family personally but they have been an inspiration to me. I am trying day by day to not sweat the small stuff and enjoy what God has given me. I am so BLESSED!

Please pray that they will find peace and comfort through this difficult time.

100th Posting

Wow, I have hit my 100th posting. It may have taken me longer than others, but I did it!

This afternoon Brian took Gabriella for a Daddy/Daughter date to Candler Park, ATL for the Sweetwater Brewfest. It was family friendly and they had a wonderful time. They ran into some of her friends from her preschool and Brian's work colleagues. Their little adventure left Brayden and I to spend some quality time together. Even though we didn't make it to a fancy festival we had fun running all around the house and enjoying A LOT of needed cuddle time. Brayden attempted to help fold wash cloths when he decided he wanted to wear his hooded towel and run all over the house. I then started to call him CAPTAIN BRAYDEN!!!!!

It was a nice afternoon to spend with my little man. He is such a sweetie and has a smile that will melt your heart.

FYI...He took a little tumble outside a door when we were at at friend's house last night and scuffed up his nose and forehead.

G-Day in Athens, GA

Last Saturday we had an amazing day in Athens, GA for the traditional G-Day game, UGA's Offense vs Defense. Even though we didn't get to spend much time in the game, meltdowns and exhaustion, we had a fabulous time around town and on campus.

Enjoying a snack before the game!

My child refuses to have tidy hair...ugg!

Being in Athens has gotten Brian fired up for Football Season. I will enjoy my Spring and Summer first and then look forward to the season, but it was nice to be in Athens, GA!

Zoo with Old Friends

Today the kids and I went to the Zoo with some friends. These friends I have reconnected through the wonderful invention of FB. Between the 4 of us we are parents to 9 children, the 10th child I borrowed from a friend while she was at work, she went to Wheeler as well.

Stats of our play date: four out of the five strollers, 10 out of 12 kids, have WHS in our past. Melissa said it best "If you would have told me in high school, that in a few years we would be meeting up at the zoo with all of these kids, I would have told you that is CRAZY!" Still can't believe it.

Edit Blog!!!

I cannot get that black rectangle off of my title part of my blog. Any suggestions? Very disturbed!

First Beach Trip of 2010!

We were able to enjoy Easter again this year at the beach and we couldn't have had a better weekend, minus Jeff & Lindsay, we miss you guys so much! The weather was perfect, the kids had a blast and Brian and I were able to go out, kid free, one night to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary. Thanks to Fay and Wayne, we are able to enjoy the beach 3-4 times a year, in their fabulous condo on the beach in Panama City Beach, FL. Brayden enjoyed the sand and the pool so much, I am little concerned. He is all over the place, but really loving it!

Easter Fun

It is really hard to keep up lately! No excuses, just busy in our house. So the Spring season has begun and we started it off with a fun neighborhood egg hunt. Brayden kind of knew what to do, except he really, I mean really, concentrated on one egg at a time.

Spring weather brings more outdoor adventures and a couple of weeks ago we purchased some skates for Gabriella. If you know me and my family's history with skating, it is a must in our house. She has picked it up really well considering her anxiety level for new activities. I would love to get her in some brownie quads soon. One of the other reasons we got the skates is because we did a family skate night at a roller rink for some friend's CF Fundraiser. Brian, Gabriella and I had so much fun that we have decided that when summer arrives we will take advantage of $1 skate nights.
