Tis the Season

We are back from CO and in full swing of holiday festivities. Gabriella had her Christmas party at Preschool and parents were invited to their music class. Gabriella did not surprise us too much with her abilities and Brian learned quickly that our daughter is that child in the class.

We tried our shot at decorating a gingerbread house, which I don't recall ever doing one before and wow..it is not easy to make it look like the picture on the box. None the less it was a lot of fun spending time with Brian and Gabriella and not worrying about how much candy we had consumed before lunch.

We hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season. Merry Christmas and may your New Year be blessed!!!!

Colorado Ski Trip

We made it this time with no broken bones, hernias or separated shoulders this past trip to CO. We had a great 10 days of snow and fun. We were a little concerned on the timing of the year but everyone was happy with the conditions. We started off slow with Gabriella getting use to her helmet and ski stuff.

When we took her outside, she wasn't the most happiest child out there. Something about the skis and boots freak her out. But once we got her back inside she told us she had fun and she "skied REALLY fast".

She was most comfortable with Brian helping her out. Go figure, little girls always need there daddy.

Gabriella's favorite part of her vacation was the rides on the Gondola from the parking lot to the Base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge. Hey it was a free activity and it got us out of the house. Once we were at the base we shared a hot chocolate and brownie...yummy!

Santa, here we come!

On Tuesday, we got to enjoy an Atlanta tradition the "Pink Pig" at Lenox Mall. I had never experienced the pig before and I had great great time riding it with my daughter. Gabriella and I rode around a couple of times and she loved it of course.

Then we headed off to see Santa. This year Gabriella was extremely excited and wanted to tell him what she wanted, but as soon as we saw the big guy, she was nervous. We walked up to him and it took her a minute to realize he was OK and then she went over to tell him what she wanted for Christmas..."presents". Santa looked at her and said "I think I can do that!". After she got her say, Brian and I hopped up with Santa to take a quick family picture.

Every Christmas season Brian has to out do himself with his annual decorating of our house. You can see us from the main road, and people are always driving up out street to see the "light display". He told Gabriella this year that "this is the only way Santa will find our house". You decide.

Thanksgiving Fun

WOW, so much happens in just over a week. We got to celebrate my dad's birthday with a yummy Italian meal at our favorite restaurant Scalini's. Gabriella always enjoys a visit with her Cici and Papa, can't you tell by her expression. :-)

Gabriella had her Thanksgiving Feast at her preschool. It was so much fun to she her interact with her peers. It is amazing how different your child behaves when someone else is in charge.

On Thanksgiving we traveled to Columbus, GA/Phenix City, AL area for a great feast with the Napier Family (Brian's mom side). All of the children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren & significant others were able to be there and celebrate this year. What a treat to have everyone there at one time!

Then on Friday, we celebrated with my parent's and grandmother. I love this time of the year, all you ever do is EAT!

Last weekend was packed with fun, as always. On Friday we had a baby shower for our friends Thao & Hiep. They are practically family with our little girls being only 11 days apart and our soon-to-be little boys about a month apart. It was great to have all of our friends together to celebrate. We don't get to do it to often with everyone's busy schedules, but when we do it is always a great time.

On Sunday we attended a birthday party for one of Gabriella's preschool classmate. It was so much fun to see her interact with her friends from school outside of the classroom. Gabriella also bonded with the family's dog "Lady". I think in the future she is going to need a pet.

And finally a lovely picture of me and my ever growing belly. I feel and look much bigger than I did with Gabriella at 28 weeks. Whew! Not too much longer, they don't make cute maternity clothes that come in tall lengths.

Same Ol' Morris Family

Nothing new to really report except for some cute pics of Gabriella, keeping up with the Dawgs & Falcons, and that Brian is still really busy with work and will be until the New Year, yipee. I head off to the doctor's for my checkup. I am now 26 weeks, where has the time gone? Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will get the nursery painted and furnished for our little guy.

Gabriella is getting bigger everyday and I have really noticed how much a little lady she has become. I stubbed my toe this morning and she came up to me and squeezed my leg and said "What's the matter Mommy, Gabriella need to kiss it?" It made me feel so good and I forgot about my stupid toe, (I didn't make her kiss my toe, if you were wondering). She talks in 3rd person and tells you everything she is doing, "Gabriella drinking water", "Gabriella running", "Gabriella get nite, nite". I am trying to correct, but she still does it. Man can that girl talk! Hmmm... wonder where she gets that from?

Busy 2 weeks!

Since my last post a lot has been going on in the Morris household. First off we got to take Gabriella to Disney on Ice at Phillips arena Oct. 26. Gabriella sat still and loved the show so much. She was scared at first of the loud nosies made by the cars from the movie Cars, they kept backfiring but once Ariel came out from The Little Mermaid she calmed down and had a great time. Believe or not, Brian and I enjoyed it as well. It is amazing to see your child so excited about something, it really melts your heart.

On Wednesday, Oct. 29, myself and some friends relived elementary crushes by going to the New Kids on the Block concert. You would have thought we were back in 1988 with how some girls dressed up. I couldn't believe it but I remembered all the words to favorites like "Hangin' Tough", "Please don't girl" and "Step by Step".

Then the next day I headed with Brian and friends to Amelia Island, FL and Jacksonville, FL for the UGA v UF game. What a horrible game, but a fun weekend!

While we were in FL Gabriella celebrated Halloween with her grandparents and enjoyed an
evening of trick-or-treating. She dressed up as Deedee Doodle from an obnoxious show on the Disney Channel. She picked her costume of course. I hated that I missed her big night, but I wanted to head to Jacksonville once last time before I take a couple of years off to spend with the kids.

Hopefully in the next blog I will include my ever-expanding belly.

New Family Blog

Thought I would try out BlogSpot to keep family and friends updated about what is going in with us, which is usually a lot.

This past weekend we moved Gabriella into her new "Big Girl" room, which she loves. It is all decked out in her favorite color, and mine, Purple. She is sleeping in a full bed and her new bedroom even has a walk-in closet, what every girl needs! Now we just need to work on "potty training"!

I am currently 23 weeks pregnant now and can't believe how fast time is going by with this pregnancy. I guess Gabriella keeps me on my toes, as would any two year old. Between football, the upcoming holidays and a trip to Colorado this baby boy will be here before I know it.

Brian is in his busy season and working pretty hard, which he doesn't like to do. He is the more play and have fun type of guy, but someone has got to pay the bills. He still gets a lot of play time though.

This past Sunday we decided to try and see the leaves changing in North GA and before we knew it we were in Chattanooga, TN, so we decided to See Rock City. It was so nice, the weather was perfect and it was decorated for the fall. Gabriella loved "Fairyland" but wasn't too sure of the "Fat Man Squeeze".
