Landscaping

Pretty sad, but we have been in our house now for five years and we have just gotten to landscaping our backyard. Of course we waited until our yard was fenced in before we did anything permanent. I have not been really the one that enjoys yard work and gardening but since we completed our mini-project I do feel the reward and satisfaction of some hard work. It was a three weekend project that I only had to work two. Brian did the heavy lifting with the rocks while I was out of town on a girl's trip. Go Brian! Thanks Mom for guiding and digging the holes to make sure I didn't kill any of our new or transferred plants!!!!

Strawberries!

On Mother's day, again, a little late, we had a great BBQ dinner with mine and Brian's parents and Grandma. A special highlight of the evening was picking strawberries alongside Mimi's driveway. The kids and a blast and I was able to get some great pictures.

Perfect Ending

A little behind, but better late than never. Gabriella celebrated the end of 3 year preschool with a fabulous performance at FPC Preschool Spring Festival. The children had their art displayed and each year level performed songs for the families. Going into the morning I have to admit I was nervous how Gabriella would do, because last year once she spotted me and the rest of the family she freaked and screamed off the stage. This year...much different. What a little performer! She strutted her stuff walking into the Great Hall and did all her motions for each song. She smiled and had a great time on the stage. We were so proud of Gabriella, this was a huge accomplishment.

"Gabriella Quote"

While Bradyen was playing on a step stool, Gabriella grew very concerned and said "don't worry Brayden, I will catch you when you fall!" I know she didn't have faith in her baby brother but I still thought it was very sweet and hopefully this will be a motto as they continue to grow.

Gabriella Quote or Imagination

Gabriella has one imagination that at times I am afraid she REALLY believes her stories. The latest is Gabriella has a second family, including a mom-"Kate", dad-"Mark", little sister-"Caroline", dog-"Puppy" and fish-"Tanker". Who knows where she gets this from. Anyhow, her other family lets her do whatever she wants and she never sleeps in her own bed. She gets to sleep with her other parents. Fine with me, I don't care for the extra body in my bed, she can do that whenever she is with her other family.

Brayden 15 Months

On Monday, Brayden turned 15 months old. He is a HAPPY bouncing baby, I mean big boy. He is all over the place. Cabinets are locked, bathroom doors shut, and milk sippy cups are filled. I cannot stress enough how happy he is everyday. He walks around with a perma-smile or this new thing he is doing with his tongue.

He had his check-up yesterday and everything checked out great. He will still need to take his Prevacid for reflux but beside that...HEALTHY!

His STATS
Weight 26 lbs 2 oz 75%
Length 33 inches 95%
Head 18.5 inches 50%

Brayden's favorite things are annoying his sister, typical brother trait, playing & exploring outside and Daddy coming home from work.
