Brayden's Baptism

This past Sunday we were able to share with some family and close friends Brayden being baptized at First Presbyterian Church. He did great and Gabriella was a helpful big sister. When our pastor introduced Brayden to his church family and walked him up and down the isle, Gabriella walked with him. It was very sweet.

Brayden is 15 weeks old today and he is growing so fast. He is an easy smiler and seems to really enjoy watching his crazy family. At last I think he is feeling better. Last Tuesday he still didn't sound good and was congested, we visited the doctor for yet another follow-up appointment. She couldn't believe he sounded so bad and wasn't any better. Brayden falls into the category of "Wimpy white boy" syndrome and can't shake this cold. I think it is humorous that he would be called wimpy when he weighs over 16 lbs. So she prescribed more medicine on top of his Xopenex breathing treatment. She put him on Amoxicillin, Veramyst nasal spray, Flovent inhaler, and Zantac for acid reflux. This past Sunday he sounded really good so we decided it was time for him to sleep in his crib again. First time in 9 weeks. He had been sleeping in his swing and really enjoyed the coziness of it. Sunday night I was worried that he wouldn't sleep well but he did. It was so cute, he was all curled up on his side sucking on his fingers. He finishes his Amoxicillin on Thursday and his Xopenex runs out tomorrow so we will see how he does in the next coming days.Hopefully this is all behind him.

Family Pics-well kind of!

It seems we cannot get pictures of all four of us and if we do someone is making a goofy face!

Schools out for the Summer!!!

I cannot believe that Gabriella's last day of preschool was Friday. This school year went by so fast. She had an amazing year of growth and wonderful teachers. I was very pleased with her experience. To end the school year her preschool had a Spring Festival where all of the kids sang some songs for the parents and had their artwork hanging up for us to ohh and ahh.

First, a little side note, Gabriella is VERY out going on her terms. She will be the life of the party or center of attention, but anytime that she is somewhere without Brian and I, and then sees us, she has a meltdown if she can't get to us immediately. So I warned the grandparents to not draw too much attention to themselves so she wouldn't spaz out and run off the stage. When the kids were walking into the room singing, Gabriella was looking for us. Once she got on the stage she was stretching her neck to see if she could find someone she knew in the crowd. I felt so bad because she really looked like she wanted to say hi. Before she spotted us she was singing and very animated. Once the twos were the only ones standing and singing Gabriella spotted me in the crowd and let out a huge scream. Quickly her teacher picked her up and found me. If you know me, you know I do NOT like attention drawn to me and everyone in the Great Hall turned and looked at me. For about 10 minutes I was bright red and sweating of embarrassment. Needless to say, that before her meltdown Gabriella was really adorable on stage with her classmates.

Gabriella is on the with her mouth wide open and the yellow bow in her hair.

I want to help!!!!

Gabriella really enjoys spending time with her grandparents. I need to work on getting better pictures with them. My dad is a do-it-all kind of guy. You say build it and he will, and it will turn out 100 times better than expected. Well, I was having difficulty with my dryer, the lint fell down in the back of it where I couldn't reach. I had a dryer full of wet clothes and if I ran the dryer, I probably would have burned the house down. Brian was at work, so I called my dad. He is ALWAYS there when I need him. Thank goodness, again, that we live so close to the parents. He came over to help me and Gabriella decided she wanted to be handy and repair the dryer with Papa.

I love my life!!!

I had some time on my hands this evening and I took full advantage with Brayden at the in-laws, Gabriella in bed and Brian on his way home from being out of town. I just had some cute pictures of the kids from this week I had to share. I am so blessed with the family I have been given and I am truly in a wonderful place in my life.

Brayden @ 12 weeks

Just have to also share 3 month old pictures two of Brayden and then I found Gabriella's. You decide if they look a like, I still can't tell, except the noses are exactly the same. The definitely are related though! Oh, I love my kids so much!!!

Our Time & Fun Times

Even though our kids keep up busy I am happy to say that we still get a little bit of time for ourselves and family fun time. Last weekend was a fun filled weekend with the concert @ the Marietta Square, Friday night, the Steeplechase on Saturday and the Taste of Marietta on Sunday. Friday Gabriella spent the night with her Cici and Brian, Brayden and myself went to the concert. This was Brayden's first concert. It was a fun band that played songs from Motown. It wasn't as exciting as Gabriella's first concert which was Ludacris at Centennial Olympic Park.

Brayden slept through most of the concert

Saturday was a kid free day. First time since Brayden was born, we had one other night in April to celebrate our anniversary, but this was the first time to have him spend the night. Brian and I enjoyed the day at the Steeplechase. We had a great time, hot, but great time.
